An Experiment in Sound and Motion

Alongside everything else I work on, I sometimes spend time poking around with music mixing and amateur video production. It is another way of exploring systems, timing, and structure, just through sound and motion instead of code and data.
I worked on this track on and off for a couple of months before finally getting it to a point I was happy with. Rather than letting it sit, I used it as the base for a quick video experiment to see how visual noise would interact with the rhythm and density of the mix. As more visual elements were layered in, my brain started pattern-matching against the music, and the two ended up locking together better than expected. The track was built in Mixcraft 9 using a mix of rock, house, and studio drum samples, with heavy use of compression, delay, and some reverb to shape the space. This was less about polish and more about capturing a moment where sound and motion aligned.
